Tissue Cards: Church Staff Appreciation
Materials:
- Card stock
- Tissue paper (variety of colors)
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Glue
- Yarn
- Ribbon
Directions:
- Fold a piece of card stock in two. Use a pencil to charm a significant flower (leave room at the bottom for only a yarn stem) on your front of the card.
- Cut out 30 to 40 squares of colored tissue paper. Have children scrunch the squares into balls and glue onto the flower. Continue until flower present.
- For stems, glue parts of green yarn into the card stock, extending from beneath end of flower. Make leaves with green tissue paper.
Paper Bible Buddies: Any Bible Story
Materials:
- Cardboard boxes
- Pencil
- Glue
- Safety scissors
- Assorted craft supplies (decorative paper, doilies, cupcake liners, ribbon, fabric, yarn)
- Markers
- Self-adhesive Velcro coins (craft store)
Directions:
- Draw a paper-doll for the sturdy cardboard box or even a part of cardstock, then reduce.
- Draw your special clothing on scraps of decorative paper or fabric, and cut out. You lots of browns, tans, and blues for usual Bible clothes. Decorate clothes with ribbon, doilies, and rickrack.
- To make it not difficult to change outfits, attach self-adhesive Velcro coins with the doll’s body and to the backs of your clothing.
- To create several faces, eliminate a circle sized to slot in the doll’s head. Use a marker to create a face, glue on yarn for hair, and fasten with self-adhesive Velcro coins.
Sun Prints – Creation (This craft ought to be done over a weeklong period.)
Materials:
- Colored construction paper
- Leaves (not crinckled)
- Glue stick
- Masking tape
- Picture frames
Directions:
- Put some glue onto the back of any leaf, and attach into a piece of construction paper.
- Tape the paper with a sunny window, when using the leaf facing out. Leave open to 7 days. The paper’s color will fade a bit over for vacation period.
- Remove from window and gently peel leaf the reveal the print. Frame and hang.
Bible banner designs: Memory Verse activity
Materials:
- Dry beans
- Cinnamon sticks
- Twigs
- Pinecones
- 8 1/2 x 11 inch colored art paper
- Glue
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Tape
- Raffia, yarn, or ribbon (to hang the banner designs)
Directions:
- Make a flag firstly letter of this message. Fold within the corners on all end of a piece of paper with the intention that they meet at the center.
- Fold actually edges of the paper as if making a paper airplane. Make sharp creases so the flag looks neat and hangs straight.
- On the graceful side of each flag, print one letter of this message in pencil. Know your child glue objects with every letter. Let dry.
- Cut a period of raffia (or yarn or ribbon) for a while match your message. To join together letters, know your child flip over each flag and fold the highest portion above the length of raffia. Tape to secure.
- To finish, knot a brief time period of raffia between each letter. Hang within your classroom!
Cheerful Napkin Rings: Last Supper or anything story look for do with food
Materials:
- Empty toilet tissue
- 2×7-inch strip of construction paper (any color)
- Glue
- Fruit Loops cereal
Directions:
- To make 2 napkin rings, cut an empty toilet roll in half.
- Cut out a 2×7-inch strip of colored paper, and glue to ring.
- Glue on colorful ring-shaped cereal to get done with.
Tip: Give children some Fruit Loops as a snack, in order that they won’t take in the ones who have glue on them!
